Under Emily's Sky
Eleven-year-old Lee is furious about her dad's problem and her mom's actions. She wants changes. When she and her cousin Alex explore Vancouver Island's forest on a family camping trip, Lee is knocked unconscious. She awakens in an unfamiliar world. Old landmarks have been replaced by a strange trailer, an odd woman, a monkey and a pack of dogs. The woman professes to be Emily Carr. The cousins meet a family of squatters from the Depression-set prairies who are logging illegally. When Alex indicates that he has had enough, Lee wonders how to get back to the campsite. Where is home?
